A Goodcall alternative for plumbing contractors
Goodcall is a self-serve AI phone agent: you configure it yourself, and it costs $79 a month per agent on Starter, $129 on Growth and $249 on Scale, with unlimited minutes and a per-customer charge past each plan's limit. Smart Lead Recovery is the same idea sold the other way round — we build and maintain it for you, for one trade, at $500 setup and $500 a month. Goodcall is cheaper; this is less work and carries a guarantee.

Goodcall is cheaper, and that is real.
Their Starter plan is $79 a month and even Scale is $249 — all below what we charge, with unlimited minutes on every tier. If you are comparing sticker prices, they win, and no amount of writing on our part changes that.
They are also a proper product, not a thin wrapper. Logic flows, forms, team members, a directory, call and customer records — you can build something quite sophisticated if you are willing to sit down and build it.
And self-serve suits plenty of people. If you are comfortable with software, have an afternoon, and would rather keep control of the configuration than hand it over, buying the tool and doing the work is the sensible choice and you should make it.
Two different purchases.
Goodcall figures are from their published pricing page, checked July 2026. The honest framing here is not cheaper-versus-dearer but tool-versus-service.

Pick on time, not on price.
Buy Goodcall if you will actually do the work. Writing down your call-out fee, your service area, your emergency rules and the questions customers really ask, then testing it until it sounds right, then coming back every few weeks to fix what it gets wrong. If that sounds fine, you will save $5052 a year over us and end up somewhere good.
Buy this if you know you will not. Most contractors who tell us about a tool they bought describe the same thing: a promising afternoon, a half-finished setup, and a login they have not opened since. The gap in price is us doing that work and then not stopping — the weekly log review is where a receptionist stays accurate instead of slowly drifting away from how you actually run the shop.
The guarantee is the part that should decide it. If we are wrong that this is worth more to you than the difference in price, month one costs you nothing.

The things people ask.
Goodcall publishes three plans, priced per agent per month: Starter at $79 for 100 unique customers, Growth at $129 for 250 unique customers, and Scale at $249 for 500 unique customers. All include unlimited minutes, and each charges $0.50 per unique customer beyond its limit. Paying annually is around 15% cheaper. Checked July 2026.
Because you are buying different things. Goodcall sells you software and you set it up; we set it up for you, for plumbing specifically, and keep tuning it every week. If you would rather do that work and keep the difference, Goodcall is the better deal and we would genuinely rather you took it than paid us and resented it.
It can be, if it is set up properly. The quality of any of these tools is mostly the quality of what you put into it — your pricing, your service area, your rules for what counts as an emergency. A well-configured cheap tool beats a badly configured expensive one every time. The question is honestly just whether the configuring gets done.
A 30-minute call where we learn your pricing, hours, service area and emergency rules, a written spec you approve, the integration into ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro or Google Calendar, and testing until you have rung it yourself and liked it. Then it goes live in 2 business days.
Of course, and it is not a bad way to find out what you need. You will learn which questions your callers actually ask, which is the most useful thing you can bring to a proper setup — whoever ends up doing it.
Don’t take our word for it. Call it.
Ring the demo line and ask it something awkward. Sixty seconds will tell you more than any sales call.
